Always yearning to grow – when I’m learning, I’m in my element. Last weekend I had an opportunity to do just that, sit down around a small table with a few really amazing creatives from the wedding industry and learn. Not only did I create some really beautiful images, I met some really fantastic photographers that are from the Wisconsin/Minnesota area, too! It was so refreshing right at the beginning of my 2017 season to jump into something so fresh and beautiful. Jake Anderson put on a workshop that touched on fine art weddings which I think are so utterly beautiful. It’s almost hard to put it into words. I just loved how impeccable all of the details were – each fitting so perfectly hand in hand with a simplicity that was seamless.
I found this quote last week and I truly feel like this fits my heart surrounding how I feel about learning and growing while I’m doing what I love: “Don’t be troubled because of the mountain tops you have yet to touch. Like a tree you will grow, not from the sky, but from the ground up.” – Morgan Harper Nichols
Also, I just have to say that Jake found a really perfect setting for the workshop which was at LAB MPLS. It had the most beautiful light streaming in the windows and was whitewashed. I think just the simplicity of it was perfect for a spring shoot!
I really love the floral installation above the table made of pussy willows which are such a lovely sign of spring!
