Sometimes it’s hard for me to put a day into words because I feel like I was placed on earth to put a day into imagery. The reason it’s so hard? Because the day was too amazing to describe, it was everything and more. Meg & Jeff along with their family and friends just absolutely make my heart swell with their Lake Wissota garden wedding. Their day was set behind Meg’s parents home near Lake Wissota in a beautiful garden tended to by her parents with lovely spindled white chairs and the most gorgeous vine covered arch with fresh hydrangea blooms carefully tucked inside.
There was this hum of excitement & electricity throughout the house as I arrived with the girls getting ready in the basement and the guys arriving dressed, Meg & Jeff had their first look in-front of a birch tree right outside the back steps of where Meg spent much of her middle & high school years. These two were glowing and you could tell it was a day they had looked forward to for a very long time! One of my favorite parts of Meg & Jeff’s day was that each of them put so many personalized touches on the entirety of the day… it wasn’t just about the party it was about their love and each other. I can’t tell you how amazing that is with words, so you’ll just have to feast your eyes on the images to see for yourself but it was a lovely day all around with everything from succulents, fly fishing gear, the lake as a backdrop and Meg’s grandma bringing a photograph of her grandfather. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much at a wedding (and believe me it was good, happy tears of joy!).
Thank you for asking me to document your day – wishing you the very best <3
