After months of trying to figure out his name their freshman year of high school, Sarah asked Mack to the Sweetheart Switch dance (you know, where the girl asks the boy) that February. These two lovebirds have been inseparable ever since! For their engagement session Sarah & Mack told me it was important to them to incorporate much of what they love about Eau Claire.. their adopted home since they both moved to Eau Claire for college together. So, we met at Carson Park and took a stroll through downtown Eau Claire engagement photos.
Mack proposed to Sarah not too long ago… Mack sent Sarah on a little scavenger hunt that led her to the stone circle at Phoenix Park where he was waiting (complete with his aunt to photograph the entire proposal) where she found him on bended knee… just across the street from where they live. So, it was very fitting that we ended their engagement session near that same circle!
They are planning a lovely day next October at a church just off of Hwy 93 that has a ton of great history for Mack’s family. His Grandparents were married there and all of their children were married there, so it’s very fitting that Sarah & Mack are the very first grandchildren to get married in the same church! After that they’ll be dancing the night away at the Florian Gardens (one of my favorite Eau Claire venues).
