I remember the first time I met with Jamie and Jeremy, we had met up to discuss the plans for their wedding at the Main Street Cafe in Bloomer. These two were just head over heels in love and you could see it in every way possible – from that first meeting to their engagement session in their backyard by the creek, to their lovely wedding day in Eau Claire. Not only are they head over heels in love with each other they are two of the nicest folks you could ever happen upon. I was so excited for them when I found out they were expecting a sweet little one to add to the Bartlett family and asked me to photograph an in home newborn session for them.
Jamie contacted me a month or so before she was due to let me know when/where she would be delivering their sweet little bundle – and surprise! Waaay before Jamie was due to deliver they got an early Christmas present – a sweet daughter named Sailor!
Their session was photographed in the comfort of their own home – I know all too well how hard it is in those first few days to get yourself up , dressed and out of the house and the beauty of an in-home newborn session is that I come to you and you don’t have to worry about a single thing. Nope, not a single thing. Don’t even pick up the dishes for me, seriously. All I ask for is a small open space in your house with some great light and it’s just about perfect. My favorite part about these in-home sessions is taking in a bit of mom, dad and baby together in a more natural and relaxed way – it’s daily life in the house with a new babe and it’s just some precious little moments of life that fly by oh too quickly. I’m so happy to capture those little snippets of time.
Since Christmas has passed I can now share a few of the images that Jamie & Jeremy sent out of their sweet love, Sailor as they were using the more Christmas-y images for announcements!
Sailor was so tiny the hats and headbands barely fit on her little head!
I love this tiny smile on Sailor’s face!
