Sweet little Reise was photographed over the summer – and oh my gosh I can’t believe how behind I am on some of my blog posts but it makes for a sweet little something during these cold winter months!  I photographed Jamie and Bill’s wedding a couple years ago at Kamp Kenwood on Lake Wissota and was so thrilled to hear when they were expecting a sweet little boy and asked me to come and photograph a woodsy in home newborn session for them.

I just adore photographing these sweet little ones of the couples from past weddings, there is just something so special about them calling me up or messaging me to let me know that they’re making an addition to their family!  Jamie and her Mom were there for this session as Billy was already back to work – but Jamie texted Billy messages here and there of all the sweet little images we were creating along the way.  Reise was such a perfect little model too, he slept almost entirely through his newborn session and stayed pretty darn cozy too.

If you’re not familiar with in home newborn sessions they are something that you should consider for yourself if you’re expecting – because as I’ve mentioned before I’m a new mom myself and I know all too much how hard it can be to get everything together – the bag, your sweet new one ooooh yeah and yourself – out the door and on your way to even the grocery store in those first few days.  It can be tough.  It’s why I offer these amazing sessions where I COME TO YOU in your home and we create beautiful images.  See, you don’t even have to clean your house, wash the dishes, etc.  We only need a small space of your house, some gorgeous light and a few hours with a sleeping babe.
