A couple of years ago I captured Katy + Garrett’s amazing wedding day at the Mystical Rose Garden’s in Baldwin, WI, a wonderful autumn afternoon. Flash forward to a couple of months ago when Katy contacted me to see if I would be available to capture some maternity photos of these two love birds (hooray… insert happy dance here). I absolutely adore when couples call me up a year or two later and announce their oh-so-exciting news that they are expanding their family by a some tiny fingers and toes! What Katy and Garrett had envisioned for this was an outdoor Bloomer maternity session. See, these two love being outdoors! We photographed their ever lovely engagement session at one of my favorite locations in Cornell and their outdoor wedding, so it only seemed fitting that we would shoot this session outdoors too (and hope to shoot at least some of the newborn session outside as well).
Katy & Garrett will be welcoming a sweet little baby girl in just under 10 weeks now – Katy was 29 weeks along at the time of this session! We chatted about their nursery plans and all sorts of little lovely details about welcoming a sweet little girl into their lives. I am so happy for you both and can’t wait to meet your sweet little one in a couple of months!

A little tidbit of information… the photo on the right was taken by Katy with my camera. I asked if she wanted a view of her belly right now and this is what she shot! How neat is that?
