Rewind: I remember the first time I opened my parents leather-bound wedding album; touching the pages of memories, flipping each page eager to see more of the history behind where I came from. It’s an amazing feeling – so much love and happiness.
Fast-forward: It’s the digital age. The #1 question I am asked at wedding consultations: “Do you offer digital files?” While the answer is, “Yes, I do offer digital files for purchase.” Not many clients ask about wedding albums and honestly if I were to poll 90% of my wedding clients I guarantee that the disc they purchased of their wedding digital files has gone untouched. Yes, you read that right. Untouched. Not even slipped into the disc drive of their computer to upload, back-up the files or (GASP) order any prints – let alone a wedding album.
A wedding album is something tangible, something beautiful and something that becomes a family heirloom for generations to come. This is exactly why you should take a second look at how a wedding album can be a piece of your family history; a history of your love, something for your children and grandchildren to pull out years down the road.
PS: These albums are even more beautiful in person. If you’d like to take a look I’m more than happy to share the love!
this post is perfect, christy! you are SO right about the disk and prints. albums are so important and are DEFINITELY worth consideration!
