It was pouring sheets of rain the morning of Ashley & Jordan’s Bone Lake WI wedding day. It was sloppy, it was soggy and there were forecasts of continuing rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. Tents were rented and set up but an aisle still stood out from underneath the tents in hopes that it would be dry enough to stand in-front of the lake under their arbor. The rain died off, they literally blow dried the ceremony aisle and Ashley declared that unless it was pouring the pictures would be outside. With a passing rain shower here and there we made do and 7.5 hours into their wedding day the sun shone from behind the clouds and we snuck into a field neighboring the reception venue for some gorgeous soft and pretty images.
A few years ago floating down the Apple River, Jordan attached himself to Ashley’s inner-tube and as word travels – they never separated. Jordan proposed as they were decorating their Christmas tree and they’ve spent the last year and a half planning for their wedding day and what a day it was! One of the best parts about my job is that I get to document love stories every weekend but it always amazes me the love, laughter and joy I experience, too. It makes me so happy to share their story and all of the little bits and pieces from the day – like the decision Ashley made to bustle her dress before the First Look so the dress wouldn’t be damaged (the most complicated bustle I’ve ever seen…. a shout out to Jen & Sara for assisting Ashley with that and the 30+ ribbons they tied) to the kisses would sneak all day and the adoration they have for each other.
