Chippewa Falls Secret Proposal | Cain & Michelle

I’ve been keeping a secret over here!

Cain called me a few weeks ago telling me that he was going to propose to his girlfriend of 7 years and he wanted to have the surprise photographed.  Cain had so many of the little details already planned out but wanted it to be all documented and so began the planning for his Chippewa Falls secret proposal.

About a year ago Cain & Michele had went looking at engagement rings but couldn’t find anything that they fell in love with.  So, Cain started the process of designing a custom ring for Michele with the help of Lasker Jewelers in Eau Claire.  He wanted every single detail to be perfect and thus is why it took a good part of a year to design.  Pretty romantic!

When Cain called me he mentioned that Michele’s friend would be flying in from Arizona and would be part of the plan, he was to send Michele & Jes off to catch up under the ruse of a girls day.  Cain & Jes had even met up earlier the morning of the proposal after Jes’ flight got in to iron out all the little details.  So, the girls headed off to the salon for a full makeover day complete with hair, makeup & nails. (AMAZING, right???).

After the girls were done they headed for Olson’s Ice Cream (as Jes noted they were running a bit ahead of schedule for the next step… the proposal so they headed off to have ice cream).  Once they were done Jes told Michele they had to go drive through Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.  Jes got lost and drove back and then as they were driving through the park, Michele thought she saw Cain’s truck parked in the parking lot.

Here’s the important part.  Cain works out of town during the week as a lineman and he wasn’t supposed to be home – so Michele had no idea he was in town or the plans that had been laid out for this moment.

So, as they drove through Irvine, Jes pulled her rental car over and there was Cain waiting for Michele.  Michele got out of the car and walked up to him.  It was then that Cain got on bended knee and asked for her hand in marriage.  Michele said ‘YES!’

After a lot of amazing smiles and good tears we headed off for a mini engagement session – and after they headed to The Livery for another surprise – their families waiting to celebrate!
