It’s no secret that it’s been one of the coldest winters in many, many years here in Wisconsin but what that means for all of my scheduled winter sessions is that they get pushed back because it’s just way, waaaaay too cold to be out there for any period of time and feel happy let alone look happy. Cadie & Tim were such good sports about it all, you know getting their engagement session pushed back three different times, talk about a bummer! So, when we finally saw that the thermometer would reach 30 degrees we jumped at the chance and photographed some really beautiful images. We photographed their gorgeous winter engagement session at the Leinenkugels Lodge in Chippewa Falls – a perfect wintery backdrop!
Cadie and Tim have such a unique and amazing story, which was actually recently featured in the latest edition of the Queen of the Castle Magazine. Cadie & Tim met online over ten years ago, she a small town girl from Wisconsin and he was a boy from New York state. They’d see each other with little trips here and there, and here they are planning their wedding day. You can read more about the details of how they met on the link above – but I just think it’s such a neat story, not many folks can say they had a long-distance relationship they way they can!
Cadie and Tim were engaged over the holidays and are planning a Friday wedding this August – how fun – Friday weddings are so much fun for me – something just a little different. Because they are choosing a summer wedding they thought it would be fun to do some winter engagement photos – which are also so much fun, unexpected and lovely. We do live most of the year under a blanket of snow (or so it seems) so it’s always fun to get out there and play a little bit.
