Holiday Inn Eau Claire Wedding
Amy & Ben envisioned a day that spoke to their roots. See these two both work in the farming industry,and at the heart of where they came from and what is at the heart of their relationship is this little piece of land. So, when Amy & Ben were planning their day they wanted to include Amy’s family’s farm in their wedding portraits. Amy & Ben got ready separately at two joined pieces of land on their wedding day. Their first look overlooked that piece of land and it was perfection. We spent a good bit of time infront of a gorgeous little pond and sprawling field before the rain started to sprinkle down. This was before their Holiday Inn Eau Claire wedding.
Another special appearance the day of the wedding was an Allis Chalmers tractor that has been a lifelong project & dream of Ben’s. He finished the tractor just in time to have a few portraits taken with it on their wedding day. After finishing the tractor he hauled it all the way from their home in Minnesota to Wisconsin for the day. And while those little drops were falling we grabbed a couple portraits of Amy & Ben in front of it. We also happened to document the point of the day where the tractor ran out of gas… and they were almost a little late getting to the church! No problem, Amy’s dad saved the day with a gallon or two of gas to get it started and out of the rain!
After the ceremony at Amy’s family’s church in Cadott we headed off to the Holiday Inn Eau Claire (you know the one with Johnny’s Steakhouse) to enjoy the guests & dance the night away. Thank you two for such a wonderful day – we enjoyed documenting every single laugh & wonderful moment!
Happy tears are the best tears.
