Late Fall Wisconsin Engagement Photos
In their own words – Amber & Dillon “have always known each other.” They grew up in the same small town of less than 1000 people, somewhere between Dodgeville, Madison and the Iowa border in a town called Highland. Their dads often work together at construction job sites and they have brothers in the same age, but it wasn’t until Dillon was a sophomore and Amber a freshman that these two started dating.
Though they’ve been together ten years, it wasn’t until a trip a short while ago that Dillon popped the question. They were in Nashville visiting Amber’s brother & sister-in-law and decided to head out to a winery for a wine tasting and picnic. After the tasting, Amber & Dillon headed off to unpack the picnic while the family went off on a ruse of buying some wine. That was when Amber started unpacking the basket and found a ring box. She opened it and immediately shut it thinking she wasn’t supposed to see what was inside. Just then, Dillon turned the basket back around and told Amber to open it. He grabbed the ring and proposed all while Amber’s family was up on top of the hill documenting the entire thing!
Their late fall Wisconsin engagement photos were a dream, I’m telling you! All day it rained here, I’m talking an all out rain, heavy mist, wind blowing but we were determined to not let the weather get us down. We kept in touch over their 3.5 hour drive and low and behold the rain and mist quit about 15 minutes before they arrived.
This coming June, these two will gather their friends & family for a gorgeous fete at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center near Madison. I can’t wait for some warmer weather and celebrating with these two!
I love when couples get to dress up, like they’re going out to walk through a field. Let’s do that, ok?
