Laura & Matt, both Wisconsin natives met while living in the Twin Cities. They met through mutual connections, became close friends and eventually started dating. In planning their wedding day they knew they wanted an intimate gathering in a place that felt like home – which led them to Eau Claire. Both huge Bon Iver fans Laura & Matt knew that a wedding at The Oxbow Hotel in Eau Claire would be the perfect place to share their day with their family.
What I absolutely adored about Laura & Matt was their love for all things local. They love a good local food joint, brewery and shopping small. AMAZING. So, when they started planning their wedding after choosing The Oxbow Hotel they also knew they wanted to choose vendors local to the Eau Claire area, too! Every detail they chose from the farm-to-table style dinner to their gorgeous (and delicious) Door County Cherry Pie was influenced by the things they love most about Wisconsin.
I have adored getting to know these two & their families over the past year and I’m so thrilled to share these today with you. They put such a labor of love & heart into their day for the people they love most and you can see it radiate from them! Congratulations Laura & Matt!
