Reception at The Barn on Stoney Hill | Alaina & Jacob

High-school sweethearts, these two celebrated their one month anniversary with their reception at The Barn on Stoney Hill this past Saturday.  Alaina & Jacob were married on the sandy beaches of St. Thomas last month with 45 of their closest family & friends.  As the storm clouds rolled in over the water, they said their tear filled vows and just as their photos started on the beach the rain came pouring down.  Thankfully, it was nothing but perfect Wisconsin weather for their reception for 400 of their closest family & friends at the barn!

You might remember these two from their engagement session last fall?  Not only did Alaina & Jacob get married in the Virgin Islands, it’s also where Jacob proposed!  It all started in high school for these two when Alaina wrote her phone number in Jacob’s yearbook at the end of the year (2008 to be exact), and from then on they’ve been together. So on a family vacation Jacob knew he wanted to propose, but to do so he gave the ring to a cousin to keep it safe until the moment when he would ask Alaina.  He did, and they knew they just had to get married there too.

We had so much fun documenting all of the festivities this past Saturday.  From the family photos, to the little moments we were able to sneak out of the barn, to the first dance.  We loved it!  It was so different for us to be able to document just the reception and the fun – the party!
