I really can’t remember the first time I met Cadie but I’ve always known that she has this sunny personality that radiates into everything she does so when she and Tim contacted me to photograph their wedding I jumped up and down because I KNEW that they would pull together an amazing celebration. This past winter I photographed their engagement session in Chippewa Falls and between the engagement session and wedding Cadie told me all that they envisioned for their rustic Eau Claire Hickory Hills Golf Course wedding… and let me just say that these two delivered in a big way.
Before you scroll too far though, I want to tell you a little bit more about Cadie and Tim. See, they met in an unconventional way – online over 10 years ago, and as I mentioned in their engagement session post they were featured in a recent issue of the local Queen of the Castle Magazine detailing a bit more about how they met and how they got to where they are today. Tim was from New York, Cadie from a small town in Wisconsin – met online and made trips back and forth to see each other. Eventually Tim made the giant move to Wisconsin and here they are ten years later – married and living happily ever after. A true story about how long-distance relationships can work and how amazing it is that the internet brings people together that would have most likely never met otherwise.
If you know these two, you know how genuine they are, too – not only in their love story but in their everyday life. So, in going into photographing their wedding I wanted to make sure to capture that feeling throughout the day. I enjoyed every little bit about their wedding, every single detail that Cadie and Tim worked tirelessly on from arranging to have their First Look take place at the farm that has been in Cadie’s family since the late 1800’s with a tractor purchased at the same time (a true valued piece of their family history) right down to a map and their rings tied together through the miles. Congratulations and wishing you two many, many happy years <3
Cadie’s Aunt made these pies the morning of the wedding (she told me she lost count how many she made) in the basement of the church for the reception. How sweet?!
A little help from a super special niece…
Cadie & Tim’s First Look under some apple trees at the family farm.
One of Cadie’s requests was to have their rings on a map connecting NY to WI

Lovely details all around…
