Katie & Travis’ day began as a cool, cloudy spring day and turned into the most gorgeous, sunny and stunning Celebration at The Gables wedding. Before I let you get to the stunning images I have to tell you a bit about how Katie & Travis met. See, they met online – but not in the way you might think… no not a dating site. It was Facebook! You know those things that pop up occasionally on your feed that say “People You May Know” on Facebook, well it started there. Travis browsed Facebook and saw this girl he thought was a girlfriend of one of his friends and so he added Katie and sent her a message. Katie in the mean time was like “who is this guy” and would send one word answers back to Travis. After some persistence on Travis’ part and three months later they started talking and now they are husband and wife! A neat thing they added to their day was a frame & a hashtag for guests to use to Instagram their day for memories — and the two selfies that started it all on a sign next to it.
My time telling Katie & Travis’ wedding story started with Katie getting ready with her bridesmaids & mom at Canyon Road Inn a little charming bed & breakfast just outside of Turtle Lake nestled in the woods on a lake. The girls laughed, they cried and they made the most wonderful memories. Katie even had a first look with her Mom to surprise her with Katie’s wedding gown, and the tears fell when Katie & her sister showed their mom a heart shaped piece of Katie’s late-father’s blue shirt sewn into the bottom of her gown. It was one of the pieces Katie carried to have her father with her all day.
Katie & Travis were married with 300 guests surrounding them in the chapel at The Gables, a perfect setting tucked into the hillside. Laughter & joy surrounded them the entire day – and I can’t wait for you to see the proof below. While these two are off enjoying their honeymoon across the Pacific Northwest, we’ll have a peek into their day. Thank you Katie & Travis for letting me document your love story!

It’s blurry and it just feels like what a wedding day is like when it’s all said and done… a blur of a moment in time. The day just goes so fast… I just couldn’t bear to delete this one.
