Pam & David’s Summer Wedding White’s Wildwood Retreat Chippewa Falls, WI
One sweltering Monday evening late in July I photographed Pam & David’s lovely, intimate summer wedding at White’s Wildwood Retreat in Chippewa Falls. It was a small affair with only their closest family and friends who traveled from far (no, not really near…) away to help them celebrate for three days at the retreat property. On a day like today (wintery and cold…) I just had to look up what the temperatures from their day were… but it was 90 degrees with a 79% humidity — whoo, I would go for that right now even if it meant sweating without moving! The great part about the day was… there were no complaints about how hot it was — just lots of love and laughter from every single guest.
My favorite part about Pam & David’s wedding was that it was small and intimate – only their closest family & friends. When I say small, I mean like 40 people. I absolutely adore when couples choose to celebrate their day in such a way because it means that the focus is on the couple and not a huge production between venues, caterers, etc. I adore photographing the small things, the little pieces of the day. It means the world to me to capture those things.
So, without further babbling (and thank you for your patience in my catching up on blog posts here….. yikes….) here are Pam & David!
When I arrived, everyone was at leisure!
Pam’s girls had a special surprise. First they walked up behind where Pam & David were getting married and second they made some fun signs.
Pam’s girls and their signs.
Pam, David & all of their guests!
