Susan & Alex’s Wedding at The Enchanted Barn

For these two it all began just over six years ago at the University of Utah.  Alex was finishing college, Susan was studying and focusing on speed skating.  Susan’s friend happened to ask her to tag along to a house party and she knew by his shoes that he was her type of guy.  So, Susan and Alex struck up a conversation that would turn into a long distance relationship for the both of them.  And just over a week ago, many people traveled long distances to see them for their beautiful and rainy wedding at The Enchanted Barn.

But before their wedding day… Susan moved to Hawaii for a semester “abroad,” and then Alex took a job out of school in Colorado.  It was lots of phone calls, FaceTime dates and one amazing vacation together during that period before Susan moved back to Utah then finish her graduate degree at the University of Wisconsin.

It was there in Madison where these two decided it was time to put down some roots and move in together.  Then, this past December just before Christmas Alex took Susan out on a cold night to a frozen pond.  There underneath the stars on their skates, Alex proposed to Susan.

That proposal led us to the absolutely stunning and heartfelt wedding just over a week ago.  We gathered, we laughed, we cried, we ran for shelter and they danced the night away.  It was so, so good.  I’m so thrilled that you two are together forever <3  Congratulations, Susan & Alex!
