The sunlight lightly coming through the trees, we pulled up to the Keyes residence, Glenn opened the door and welcomed us in. It was the day they had been planning since the 17th of December last year. Since the day Glenn proposed to Amber on one knee with a ring shaped ornament they have been planning an intimate backyard wedding Eau Claire, WI.
As I made my way up the stairs to where Amber was getting ready, I found her calm and cool taking a peek or two out the window below to see the guests arriving and to see if she could get a glimpse of Glenn before walking down the aisle. Surrounded by little details and old family photos, Amber’s mom helped her into her dress, and put on the necklace that Glenn had given her as a gift while dating.
While Amber’s grandparents and their parents & siblings laughed over “wedding pickles” that Amber & Glenn had canned for the occasion they had their first look in the beautiful yard next to the house. When it was time to walk down the aisle, both Amber’s parents greeted Glenn to hand their daughter off while Glenn’s brother was the funniest & best “un-experienced officiant” (as he called himself) I’ve ever met!
I have to say that by far intimate weddings hold such a special place in my heart, there are so many tender moments. So much time to spend with each person in the room and so much more time to spend with each other. Thank you both for everything, it was such an absolute treat to be able to document your day.

The necklace was the first gift Glenn gave Amber and she wore it as her something blue.
