Complete with a chair lift ride, Bella & Dylan’s fall Rib Mountain Amphitheater wedding in Wausau, WI was what you would call September perfection. I know that I always end up talking about how the weather was the specific day of a wedding but it is a great reminder to the couple the things we experienced the weeks and days leading up to their wedding. Of course, it also seems that almost every wedding I’ve photographed this year with the exception for a couple have called for all-day rain or lots of rain showers and Bella & Dylan’s day was no different. When you’re planning a wedding in a Wisconsin state park on the top of a mountain for the middle of September, rain isn’t one of those things you want to hear but it was what we heard all last week. In the end? It was HOT, it was muggy, it was BEAUTIFUL. Just about as perfect as you could get – and I’ll be honest, I wish it could stay warm!
Just under a year ago I met Bella & Dylan for the first time as we explored the land near the Ice Age Trail here in the Chippewa Valley. Another perfect fall day, the leaves a with a bit more color, the grasses a bit more golden but so much of that perfect fall! Their day was more of that with a bit more green. I arrived to Bella & Dylan’s hotel to where they were getting ready separately with their bridesmaids and groomsmen… a hint of thrill and joy in the air for this day that they had waited so long for. It was finally here. Bella’s parents gave her away to Dylan, they exchanged their vows looking over Wausau from Rib Mountain State Parks beautiful amphitheater and gave a gift for the joining of their family to Dylan’s son. It was truly wonderful.
I’m so happy for these two and the adventure they’ve shared and the adventures they will share in their lifetime together. Congratulations to you – wishing you all the best!
